ABB Training Webinars
Haven’t the last few months been rather surreal? I am guessing your company, like ours, are busy putting in new measures to keep staff and customers as safe as possible. In an effort kick start returning to a form of normality and to enable us to continue to add value to our customers, we are pleased to announce we are teaming up with the experts at ABB to provide a series of online inverter training webinars.
ABB Training Webinars
The dates and times for each course are displayed below, so you can start to plan which courses you would like to attend.
Smart Sensor
Host: Steve Hughes, ABB UK Digital Lead-Motion
7th July 11 am BST start, duration approximately 1hr
Title: Maximising productivity – Condition Monitoring of Rotating Equipment and Drives – The journey from reactive to proactive maintenance – Part 1 (Rotating Equipment)
Session 1 focuses on the remote condition monitoring of induction motors, mounted bearings and pumps utilising the ABB Smart Sensor portfolio of products. Session 2 will be on 4th August.
Synopsis: The cost of unplanned machine failures can be far more than just lost production output, it can result in additional costs associated with waste materials, labour, emergency spare part supply and even damage to reputation.
Drives and motors remote condition monitoring helps to monitor critical health and operating parameters of mechanical powertrain components in real-time. This means users are given advanced notification of potential problems, so maintenance can be planned and undertaken before a failure actually occurs.
ABB’s Digital Powertrain technology not only allows manufacturers to predict when maintenance is required, but it gives them a broad picture of the unique influence components have on one another allowing them to improve the performance, reliability and efficiency of their powertrain which in turn improves system optimization.
Softstarter Basics
Host: Liam Blackshaw, ABB UK Drives Product Manager
21st July 11am BST start, duration approximately 1hr
Agenda:
- Technology and Operation
- ABB Softstarter Portfolio
- ABB Softstarter Product Selection
- Q&A
